Job Description Installation of the new campus wide Affinaquest RM (powered by Salesforce) system will require immediate training and support of 100 people upon installation. Access to the system will be competency based so superior instruction to the user base will be critical. This Instructional Design & Conversion Specialist will be hired during conversion to develop all training sessions and materials, and support the Advancement division as the resident expert after the conversion. Responsibilities
  • Serve as Advancement conversion project leader by becoming an expert in Affinaquest and working with each program area within Advancement to document and translate business processes to the new CRM.
  • Later in the conversion and after go-live, design and deliver instruction to small groups or one to one classroom training for the Affinaquest RM product as configured for the College of the Holy Cross. This will include all major functional areas of the system including prospect, donor relations, gift processing, reporting, communications etc. Access to the system for users will be competency based. Modification of instruction manuals, tests and specific help screens will be required from the base information supplied by the vendor and then made to more closely match the product as configured for College of the Holy Cross.
  • Create basic system instructions on procedures and policies for development officers and other users that might include, integration of the system to: communicate with prospects, create proposals, manage objections, locate prospects etc.
  • Design, deliver training, update and create all current and new training materials for Affinaquest CRM and other specific software systems that might be used in development work including products from vendors such as Blackthorn, Give Campus, and a new marketing automation tool.
  • Provide user support (in person and virtually): respond to user's questions, guide users in class selection and skill set development. Meet with users and small groups to encourage basic and expanded usage of the system. Communicate requested changes back to system admins for potential inclusion in the systems.
  • Other position-related duties as assigned.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will have a strong background (3-5 years implementing reporting and/or integration solutions with Human Resources, Payroll or Financial ERP application software) in full scale ERP deployments and training. Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to independently manage projects.
  • Affinaquest is a Salesforce based CRM platform, so 1+ years experience in a Salesforce environment preferred.
  • Experience in fundraising or development programs preferred. Successful candidate will be reporting to Advancement and applying skills for the success of the Advancement programs.
  • 3-5 years of successful mastery of complex system functionality.
  • 3-5 years of experience applying adult learning theories and Instructional Design principles to design and deliver successful learning outcomes. The ability to apply diverse communication methodologies (verbal, video, and written) to ensure successful user application.
  • A commitment to staff development and superior customer service delivery and experience in needs assessment and superior communication skills to develop a curriculum that focuses on different job roles.
  • The ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training and the flexibility to adapt to a changing environment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience designing, building, and delivering training to a technical audience and to candidates with Instructional Design experience on technical software projects.
  • The candidate should have experience demonstrating progress and success through existing metrics or creating such metrics for different development areas.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This is a full time, exempt level position with a salary range of $70,000-$75,000. The College is committed to providing competitive market pay for its employees. The College also offers a competitive benefits package for full-time staff, including:
